But in some cases I heard that the FaceTime may show a phone number. If it does "not likely" then that's your only chance of getting the phone working again.

UPDATE!! I sent the kerrip email shown in the video messages in imessage and the guy never even owned a iPhone 5S before! There may be an even bigger problem with iOS 7 and it seems as if it is showing apple account that aren't even linked to the device's that show them in the FaceTime app!

I live in the netherlands, the emergency number here is 112. So i tried it and it went wrong. So here in The Netherlands you CAN call 112 without sim-card. So it connected me with the emergency services and the cops came to my house. I got a warning but false calling the emergency services is bringing lifes in danger, so its illegal. Never trying this method again.

Create a. Back up of another idevice that you or a friend own. Make sure to save it to the computer not the cloud. Now plug the locked device in and restore it to the back up you just made. It should start to restore and when it's done the phone/ ipod should be running as the other device. Thats how i got my phone to work. And it still runs fine to this day:)

iCloud locked Sucks. Apple just does it so people have to go buy a brand new device from them. As long as the phone is not reported lost or stolen apple should send a remote signal to the device to unlock it. Boom just solved the problem. Ur welcome apple.

Hi EverythingApplePro! I had my iPod Touch 5G get stuck on activation lock because when I tried to update to the official version of iOS 7 using iTunes, it failed and I had to restore it. My Apple ID got hacked and I couldn't reactivated it. So, I tried to downgrade to iOS 6 using Redsn0w but it still had activation lock. So I shoved it in a drawer and I remembered about like a month after, and I tried to reactivate it again, but it didn't ask put me to an activation lock screen and just set it up. I don't know if the person who hacked my account removed my iPod from Find My iPhone, but I just wanted to share this story. Thank you for the tutorial anyway:)

Kari Sinkko even without a sim, the phone can still make emergency calls. You can try 000 or a number that doesn't work in your country. In Canada, dialing 112 is the same as dialing 911. I learned this the hard way when trying to bypass the activation screen on a 3gs and the cops showed up later. Later, I dialed 000 which doesn't work in Canada.

It still calls calls the emergency line. I called and did this a when ios7 came out and I was locked out. I simply explained to them it was a mistake instead of having them go through the hassle of them thinking it was an emergency. I got so scared when I heard "911 what's your emergency" I also live in NY.
