I saw this animation in the early 70-s when i was a child. And now when i am 64 is still get tears to my eyes when i see this clip en around the hollidays i let my four grandchildren watch this and tell them why their grandfather gets tears in his eyes and i tell them about the birth of a child that is a symbol of peace. My oldest grandson is 9 en now he understands what peace means and we talk about it. So thank you for posting this it helps me to tell my grandchildren about peace, understanding and learning from each other.

I'm 32 years old and remember my dad telling me that he remembers watching these specials on TV when he was a kid, so they are clearly Old classics ❤. This was back when the christmas shows were fantastic!!!!! Back before dvds and you had to wait a whole year just to see it again. This and Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer were what I looked forward to the most. Wasn't this done with stop motion or puppets? I kinda forgot.

You are right re. Jesus' birth date, etc. It's very unfortunate & disturbing how the world warps the 'truth'. When other people celebrated their b-days in the Bible things went very wrong. Jesus never said remember my b-day. We're to remember his sacrifice with emblems of bread & wine as he instructed. I like to remember his coming in the flesh, life, death, resurrection and presence at the right hand of God every day instead.
