Whats the logic behind the waitlist? If you get more users you will generate more revenue... are you just trying to add exclusivity? Because from a software developer standpoint, there doesnt seem to be much of a reason for this restriction

As always a great video. ETFs can be a great way to get own a diversified basket of stocks without having to do the research. There are many ETFs which routinely beat the market over 5, 10, 15 years or longer. The idea of dollar cost averaging is key.

But wasn't he right? I bought Ali baba last week and I am up now $10 per share. Now as market goes up, I am planning to trim my individual stocks and take the profit of the table and park it in safer market. In my case buying basket stocks or ETFs would be the batter naxt move. I am very thank full for his educational contents and videos such as this one

When you are presenting something on the atV, could you minimize your video and show full TV screen. It's hard to follow what you're typing or pointing at on the TV screen.

Here are some real world numbers on 10/6/2020 I bought 2 mutual funds FNILX a Fidelity 500 zero fee index fund and FOCPX an actively managed Large cap Growth fund. I put $5,000 in each fund. Now 5/4/2024 the FNILX is worth $7,937.85 and the FOCPX is worth $7,791.35 a difference of $146.30. I don't see the index fund killing the actively managed fund both were bought with the same amount of money and on the exact same day.

Some people think averaging in means holding back money in cash though. You might need to clarify to some that you mean averaging in as you earn money.

I haven’t immersed myself into the investing world very much yet but I bought a few ETFs, went back and researched the heaviest weighted companies only to find that they were largely overvalued. I suspect they are a mixed bag of mediocrity that is better than nothing but it does provide a jump off point.
@Xanatissimo2 ай бұрын
Most of companies on the S&P 500 are overvalued on how they are perceived because they are on the S&P500. Apple is a good example, largely overvalued, pour cash flows, declining sales but with a lot of followers and believers on the position of the company against competitors. Warren has been divesting from Apple, even if he keeps a strong position. He believes the fundamentals are no good, and largely overpriced.

The difference between a value investor and a growth investor is that the value investor shows up to the buffet as the food is being served. The growth investors show up to eat the leftovers. Nothing wrong with leftovers, they’re just picked over.
@Xanatissimo2 ай бұрын
Funny enough, Warren says that theirs no difference between a value and a growth stock. Makes no sense to get a growth stock that doesn't have good fundamentals at good value as it makes no sense to buy a value stock that doesn't have growth. Ultimately you want to buy a stock from a company that you estimate is at a good price with the idea that the business will grow on top of it. Interesting remarks. :)
