a bit late but this is a simple answer, yes. Beat saber is demanding on the wrists, arm (am I the only one who usually gets bicep aches when playing beat saber,) and shoulders and is also a cardio. Of course you don’t need to work out and just playing the game in its own right will help but my best recommendation is warming up for at least 15 minutes before jumping into speed/challenge. I believe cube community uploaded a whole thing on things you can do to warm up if you wanna look there kzbin.info/www/bejne/eHbIZZ-rmptlh9U I also recommend looking at the doc in the description of that video so you can tailor the right exercises to your beat saber warm up

Machine gun is way harder than this

Machinegun is slower than this by 30bpm, however it's a bit more stamina heavy and also has a lot more variation in the swing angle, where this song is mostly one angle for a while, then another for a while, Machinegun is almost constantly changing on every note

I mean I’m not good at speaking for other peoples behalf but I can see it happening, iirc his hs on machinegun (DE’s) is 96.75 or something close to that and since then I think he’s improved at beat saber so at least a 96.9 something is possible and as long as tracking is perfect and there’s luck I can see a 97 :)
