Evey & Gus Wallow in Mud

Check out Evey and little Gus as they wallow in some mud that their keepers prepared for them. Did you know rhinos don't sweat? It is because of this that they have adapted ways to keep cool in such extreme heat. In the wild, and even here at RHZ, mud wallowing keeps rhinos cool in the heat of the day, plus it also protects their skin from sunburn, insect bites, as well as to maintain their skin's moisture!
