Mind boggling. His sense of Rhythm & Colors, voicing, and that Crystalline clarity. those Trills are Thrilling :) Breath-taking performance. Bozhanov's signature piece. It was stunning at the Chopin Competition as well.

To all the guys who are pointing at his gestures or mimiques: sorry,but one can not play music with a stone face ! And maybe many of you do not know that Chopin was not only sensitive and intelligent,but a very funny guy.He was provocing a furor at the salons in Paris ,imitating other pianoplayers.Obviously he was not taking everything so seriously.Evgeni is a music Genius.

Very nice playing--touch and sense of dynamics. I would only say that, because it is so delicate, and such a big hall, some of the vocal lines get swallowed up too quickly, there are several breathing spots to take and charming moments to linger slightly, but this will come as this fine young artist matures over time This particular work has brisk harmonic changes, which need to be spaced in a certain way. Evgeni is very talented and has a lovely sense of the Chopin language..

The Rondo a la Mazur Op.5 was played with tremendous elan in a truly brilliant rhythm, tempo rubato, style and moreover with style. So many shifting colours in his palette, variety of articulation with the delicate velocity of a Godowsky.
