Key word "drafted". Crosby actually played in 2005, where as Malkin was still in Russia until they brought him in at the start of the 2006 season.

@thetwister151 He's moving five miles an hour and his stick is on the ice when he slides it in. Go out in the street, bounce a puck on the ground, and fall over and shoot it. It's really not that difficult. As long as the puck doesn't catch a weird bounce, any professional (or even amateur) hockey player would have the hand eye coordination to put that in.

Because Crosby getting injured pushed Malkin to his true potential to try and help carry the team. If Crosby wasn't injured, nobody would think Malkin was as good as they do now. Not taking anything away from him, every player needs something to reach their potential....in the case of Malkin it was losing a star player...and the Penguins have a very bright future ahead of them if they can sign Crosby and Malkin long-term.
@State0fChaos16 жыл бұрын
Also, that's some fucking great hand-eye coordination right there.

yeah if u watch he did block the poke check it goes up into his body but because he was on his knees it went bak towards the net and then he popped it in
@eglsfly15 жыл бұрын
The point of Defense is to keep the other team from scoring. If you take the puck away, then they can't score! Therefore, I would say that "takeaways" would be the most important thing to do on defense. FYI, "everyone" can't LEAD the league in takeaways....
@gripnsip300015 жыл бұрын
Why is this so insane....? He just falls over and slides the puck in before he hits the ground.

he saw the goalie was gonna beat him to the puck , jcwarren, so i guess he was hoping to block the puck if the goalie tried to poke it past him to the trailing defense so i guess maybe he thought it would rebound in the net or at least to his stick to make a play. Goalie shanked it and popped it straight up to malkys stick tho...too bad thats like the worst thing that coulda happened, i feel a little bad for him. Still tho, it wasn't really a tap in goal for malkin either, he worked for it.

Did someone say Crosby plays conservatively? And that he doesn't get hit hard? Odd, considering the other half of his detractors say he plays too aggressively and will wear himself out at an early age. If you're going to hate Crosby, at least make up your mind as to why. I suspect your dislike for Crosby's popularity is the main influence on your opinion, evilfishtank00.

@Slippar247 get your eyes checked then. they showed it in slow mo. he smacked the puck out of mid air from off his knees into the goal. If you cannot do it in a game first try, then shut your mouth. You cant, or else you would be in NHL. Never speak again.
@Beaguins18 жыл бұрын
19flyers67, you've posted four times now. Go cry somewhere else. Sure Malkin got a bit lucky. The goalie could have grabbed the puck, but hear this: Good luck does nothing for you if you aren't ready for your opportunity when it comes. Great players not only take advantage of good luck when others don't, they create good luck. Why did the goalie have to charge? I guess you'd say the pokecheck was lucky too? The puck just happened to run into Malkin's stick? What a lucky guy!
