Evgeni Orkin “Odesa rhapsody” for two violins and symphony orchestra
Soloists - Alexey Semenenko, Andrii Murza
Youth symphony orchestra of Ukraine
Conductor - Oksana Lyniv
Un Week-end à l'Est Festival Paris, 28.11.2022
"Odesa Rhapsody" is a kind of musical story that hopes to move the listener firstly to the shore of the Black Sea, where the wind from Primorsky Boulevard brings the sounds of a big and loud city, then to "Pryvoz" - a traditional market full of mixed but not disappearing coloring that emphasizes cosmopolitanism, openness cities The third part, "The Night" - silence, disturbing buzzing of planes that carry peace? War? Heavy thoughts, doubts... Rhapsody ends with “The Black Sea”. Strong waves wash away space and time, leaving behind only the well-known Odesa melody "by the Black Sea".
