Laut Fachleuten spielen die beiden Linkshaender und besten Spieler Deutschlands
seit Eberhard Schoelers Finalteilnahme bei der WM 1969 in Muenchen
Joerg Rosskopf und Timo Boll besonders gut gegen Abwehr.
Gegen Chtchtetinine haben aber beide bei Laenderspielen wichtige Matchesverloren,
obwohl dieser im Gegesatz zu Chen Weixing oder gar Joo See Hyuk relativ wenig
stoert, also auch angreift.
Die Frage nach der richtigen Taktik spielt hier also eine noch größere Rolle, als
bei manch anderem Match.
Mit zunehmender Schnelligkeit der Topspins (Frischkleben etc.) wurde bei der Platzierung
außer links - rechts in die Ecke auch das Spiel Richtung Ellenbogen des Gegners
(Wendepunkt) eine erfogreiche Variante....
Chtchetinine machte den fraenkischen TT-Fans die Freude und ließ sich einst von einem
Herrn Mueller anwerben.Herr Mueller hatte (zuviel ?) Geld. Damit kaufte er sich einen
(Gift) Noppenbelag und aergerte damit einige gar nicht so schlechte Gegener.
Weil der Belag aber nicht allzu teuer war, kaufte sich Herr Mueller fuer den Rest des Geldes
kurzerhand einen Bundesligaverein dazu. Die Franken wußten ihm das zu danken.
Denn der Verein war in Wuerzburg zuhause und Bayern schmachtete nach Bundesliga-
tischtennis.Also: Alles Mueller, oder was ?
Denkste! Mueller sah seine Rolle nicht nur als Sponsor:
Wenn schon blechen, dann auch selber mitspielen!
Wenn es der aktuelle Tabellenstand hergab,stellte er kurzerhand auch mal sich
selber auf, und zwar an der Seite des russischen Nationalspielers Chtchetinine.
Dem nicht genug. Am Ende waren bei dem Wuerzburger Bundesligisten sogar die
Kreisklassehelden spielberechtigt. Und als Herr Mueller sich bei einem (Europacup-???)
Spiel gegen Rekordmeister Bor.Duesseldorf von Schiri und Gegner verschaukelt fuehlte,
da schwor er Rache und gab ein Versprechen.
Das wurde eingeloest, als die Champions aus Duesseldorf das naechste Mal zur Bundesliga nach
Wuerzburg kamen.Denn da spielte dann eben nicht Boll gegen Chtchetinine,
sondern Boll gegen Kreisklasse ausgesuchtester Sorte...
Da war ganz schnell Schluss mit lustig und Bundesligatischtennis in Unterfranken...

20 Years ago he played at BTW Bünde in the german Regionalliga (at this time 3rd league in germany). He often played at small and lower clubs in his career but he was the whole time one of the beste european defenders. His backspin is so incredible. A TT Roboter set to maximum backspin cannot nearly produces such a lot backspin like chetinine does.

"Chtchetinine was incredibly lucky in this match"??? He has five direct points conceded (in five sets) by the lucky balls. That means: 1 lucky ball per set ... Or 5 points from a total of 45 .. Sorry, but in table tennis, it does not mean "incredibly lucky"!

Combination of luck and unforced errors on the part of Roskopf. Of course when playing a good defensive player it's difficult to say what an "unforced error" ist.

Chtchetinine was incredibly lucky in this match, he had countless unreturnable edge balls and Rosskopf missed too many easy shots in his kill zone. I don't get why Chtchetinine pumps his fist every point he wins, that's what kids do, smh

Chtchetinine is a very calm player focusing on his own strenght. He doesn't shout or expose himself like so many other (espacially young modern) players do. I cannot see any misbehavior and I really can't blame him on hitting the ball to the edge of the table. So I think your comment is quite senseless, LAMBOMETS!

I think around 2002 Germany lost a League tournament to Belarus in the exact same maner with Boll losing to Samsonov and the defender. It's fitting that Germany had to wait till 2007 to win the European Championiship despite spending crazy money for decades.Their players have always been unrefined lumberjacks.
