And that's because that's all that the child knows. It's also because the elders, such as the siblings, always tend to uphold the dead-beat parent, which confuses the child. It's when the child become an adult that they start to realize that their parent didn't treat them right!

@@paytonbf1 Sometimes outside people are basing their 2 cents on what the traditional idea of a mother is, like one who is actually raising their child(ren) and making sacrifices for them. They may say that standard saying "you only get one momma." My dad raised me and my brother due to our mom being unfit due to crack, alcohol, and other personal issues. It took years after becoming an adult for her to stop the guilt trips, including sporadic voicemails saying "I'm still your mother. " I thank God those messages have stopped. 🙌🏽 I love her and I truly wish her the best in her life. I don't think I resent her anymore - if I do I hope it leaves me. Anywho, my point of this comment is other people's comments are usually based on the traditional ideas of the mother role. So if they don't actually know or experienced it themselves, they don't understand the physiological and emotional need to maintain a healthy distance from your mom so you can have some inner peace in your life in regards to communicating with her. It's like a thin line to have a balanced relationship - being open and guarded at the same time. An inner protection mechanism. Maybe I'm not using the right words, but Lord knows I know what I'm trying to say. Unfortunately, there are others who know what I'm trying to say. Grace and Peace to you all 💗🕊✌🏽 OneLuv

I'll just add that after decades of being clean and sober, some still don't know how to be a mom. Yes, they are biologically. But sometimes it's like they just don't have the capacity to actually BE a mom. And this is after decades of no crack/ drugs. I think a lot of the time there are some underlying issues that they don't address. Not saying this as an excuse, just an understanding

@@keeshabrown7353 I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I personally went through a similar situation with my mother and father, in that they both didn’t step up to the plate when I was coming up, at all. I grew up motherless and fatherless, and my grandparents on my mothers side raised me. So I know 1st hand what having deadbeat parents feel like. SMH, what bothers me is the mothers response during the case. She had no remorse for being absentee. Glad uncle Mathis put her in her place.

So sad. Mom had no mothering vibe about her. Smh.

The mother must be jealous of her own daughter, because even after being a crack head and dead beat mother, their is no reason she should treat her that way. They could’ve revived their relationship. Smh

It’s because the daughter doesn’t enable her, she tells her she is wrong, she’s more responsible than her mother… so her mother doesn’t like her.

Wow, the judge saw right through that “Suzy-homemaker” look she stood there with. He was right, too! BOOM!!! 🤯 The truth came out….what an unremorseful attitude!

I have the upmost respect for parents that own up to their wrong doingvto cause hurt in a child’s life. For her to laugh a little about this just makes me angry. She’s beautiful and raising her beautiful children and I hope she’s doing well today ❤️✨

"Its been like that my whole life who cares " It's so crazy when a mother doesn't love her child but that unconditional hate causes pressure and when that pipe bost a phenomenal woman is born. I love that the daughter broke that chain ⛓️ it ain't easy speaking from experience. Be blessed and hug your kids tell them you love them it make a tremendous difference!!!

This was SO SAD!! For a "Mother" so.be nonchalant about her actions of having her kids taken! Then she acts like she's OK 👍 with not having a future relationship with her or her grandkids! God please help them both! 🙏

When people don't care for their children, NOTHING can help them. That instinct just isn't there. However, I know you don't understand it because you never lived it.

If you're a parent, the one thing you don't want is for things between yourself and your child to get to the point where your child wants nothing to do with you ever again, your child doesn't want their own kids to ever have anything to do with you ... That's the last thing you want as a parent. In this case, the end says it all. The mother didn't even care that she would never see her daughter or grandkids ever again. The daughter saw no difference between past and future, with her mother not in her life. That's as sad as it gets. The mother in this case had no business having children. The court isn't the only thing the mother had contempt for. I wish there was a way for me to be there for the daughter.

The plantiff is a beautiful person and God will bless her for her kind spirit and respect for her mother. Thank you JM for keeping it real on the defendant. The defendant is clearly not in denial, she is shameless for her conduct.
