My daughter works two jobs with a heart condition plus diabetes. Never stopped working during pandemic. I dislike seeing people evicted because some may have been elderly and/or sick. It's especially difficult on the children but many are just lazy.

@@jackieraulerson2005 They have other " Priorities". I see it all the time with this generation. In our time we paid rent first, car second, gas money for work third, food forth, utilities fifth. Once those bills were covered what money you had left went to whatever you needed that month. Cloths, hair cut, furniture, ect. I always kept a priority list in my wallet. When I had extra money, out came my list to keep me from being tempted on things I could live without. I'm 60 y/o now and that mind set is what still gets me through everyday.

Section 8 isn't always an option some people spend years waiting for section 8 especially where I live

I will never rent to section 8 tenants, Not worth the risk of it getting trashed. The system needs to be fixed.

@@craig162 totally agree. it's sad. I don't believe people should be able to stay on section 8 for years and years. let's say 4 years. long enough to get a degree or something. let others get a hand up and move on to home ownership or something

Years? Plenty of time to go get a job.

This is another reason why rents are so high now. Everyone forgets landlords have to pay bills too. The government said they couldn't evict you if you couldn't pay rent so people just stopped paying. My friend is still owed $6k in back rent and the tenants didn't lose their jobs. This is why landlords want tenants out even if they start paying again.

What happens when you are evicted and then move on to next rental. Paying 1 months rent with money you saved from last rental,,,then you stop paying rent again and have rent free for months while waiting for eviction.. lordy this story of free rent somehow goes on and on and on.....

You almost ran somebody over in your haste to show the contents of someone’s life on the curb after these evictions!! I am a firm believer that everyone must pay to live anywhere and if you don’t, you need to leave but you’re driving like someone’s chasing you to murder you! Slow down!
