The bank won’t allow us to not pay the Mortgage or City wants it taxes, Insurance wants its payment and after the last 3 YEARS of NO RENT.. Landlords are not playing

I escaped California 18 years ago. My parents had a lot of rentals and when their health went down, I had to take over for them. I was knee deep in tenant issues. I found a law firm that specialized in evictions. Unfortunately I got to know them very well. I had to get rid of about 4 tenants that stopped paying, including a man who was an engineer! I learned the laws quickly and learned the process on getting them out and the need to have a locksmith on site when the Marshalls put them out.

“Work with me” is a huge red flag and usually means I will always have issues that keep me from paying on time if at all. That landlord has no choice but to file for eviction or risk a fair housing violation when they don’t let everyone slide on the rent.

I tried renting an apartment in Los Angeles but doors were not opening! The rent is sky high, we tried PATH and other organizations and none of them helped us! So instead of struggling trying to find a place, living with roommate or motel, we bought a trailer! As long as we upkeep the place, pay the insurance and keep our area clean, we have no problems!

Your RIGHTS? Your rights are to pay the FULL RENT. That’s how it works. A PM Company can not help you. A Private Owner “may” help. But, it depends on your history with them. We’ve heard ALL the excuses so Pay Rent in Full

I live in California and the rent is so darn high, rent is ranging from $2000 to $5000 for 1 to 2bdrm a month. Making you be 1 to 2 paychecks away from being homeless, don't lose your job or have a health crisis you will be homeless quickly. Plus you pay for water,trash and sewage as another added bill with the rent. Oh! You have to purchase & pay for rental insurance and that's a must too. Plus your paying for electric & gas as well. I don't know how I been doing it for years here, but the struggle is real more so now. 😪

At that price it would be cheaper to move, but people refuse to think logically. If you are 2 paychecks from getting kicked you are living above your means and need to downsize, or relocate. Not everyone can live in the big city.

I live in the bay area. That’s how most landlords do it out here . Miss a payment or pay partial they won’t to evict you. They’ll move someone else in for more rent especially in the nice and clean complexes

It’s called “paying for services rendered” business is business…..but I’m in the medical field and honestly I hope this lady is taking care of herself. However, she knew she had high blood pressure well before she had a heart attack because that’s what leads to a heart attack. I know she was educated about her health, taking her therapeutic blood pressure medication everyday, and because of her age, changing her diet. (I know this because I educate patients all the time, and two months later they come right back for the same thing, that’s why the medical field is a booming business), her diet meaning no more greasy food, lowering the salt, and walking at least 30 minutes a day. She had a heart attack almost a year ago and sitting at home sooooo long that she became comfortable and complacent. She rode that for so long, that is caught up to her.

I would have to disagree with you as a renter who pays ON TIME…in the big scheme of things someone is paying you to keep your place up and running and preventing squatters from ruining your place, and in return my deposit is supposed to be placed in a savings account while I am taking care of your place for you. BUT WE ALL KNOW MOST LANDLORDS SPEND THE DEPOSIT AND are depending on you to pay there mortgage instead of paying off your house and then renting it out so as to have free flow money from the rent you charge . SO BASICALLY LANDLORDS ARE NOT BLAMELESS IN THIS EQUATION OK THANK YOU FOR READING THIS

😂😂 Most landlords who are in true business don’t spend the deposit so stop this! Even if they did spend it, so what? It’s their money. It’s supposed to be for when the tenant leaves and we pay it back as long as the place is in good condition. Yes the rent should pay the mortgage. If you can’t get one or are too lazy to look into getting one, that’s a you problem🤷🏽‍♀️
