These two sections were adopted frm S5 of UK public evidence act of 1968...it was repealed in 1995 in UK as it had become obsolete but woila we adopted it in 2000 ... Great... B

This last part need fresh understanding of privacy: in tarun tejpal case, the mobile of complainant proved to be crucial piece of evidence for tutoring and conduct, post the even which proved material. This right to privacy is conditional else in case of multiple marriages concealment or past marriage in false rape cases, it is the personal evidence which act as defence.
