It's not entirely true! And in this case maybe the hate can be justified but she tried to kill her sister is her own choice and she is fully responsible for it, so she chose to be a villain. Psychology is an explanation for our behavior by understanding it we can improve so many things but it's never a justification of someone's act. And like the other comment said there are some people out there who are born evil and some who are born so kind... But most of the time it's like half a child's own personality and the other is their surroundings.

I feel the problem started frm the parents end and the way how their mother giving more importance to sunny caused unnecessary rage to the younger one. As a parent its a responsibility to not make ur child feel left out. Things would have been different if she treated both of them equally. Because watever the situation that family is going through staying together is wat matters. Wen kids were innocent that’s the prime stage where u cn mold them as u can .

well it definitely was their parents' fault but you only pointed out the love deprived child. This happens very often that in cases like this most of the people and media put emphasis on the love or attention deprived child and not on the one who was being favored. their mother's constant favors made sunny a narcissist so she wanted to become better than her rich friends too as she always was in spotlight with her mother; for that she also became a criminal but nobody gave it much thought nor did any one highlighted it. At the end she just disappeared in thin air because the case was over and she was not able to put her self together nor her life, her friends probably cut her off due to her stealing habits. At the end the neglection and favoritism of their mother ruined both of the sisters' lives and might have ruined the lives of the other four too.

unfortunately this happens in many households. Many times there is always a favorite child in the family either older or younger. Even my best friend is experiencing this thing. She is 4th child out of 6 and her parents always give importance to 2 older sisters unintentionally because those sisters work in a foreign country and to younger only one male child. But she still loves all of her siblings equally. So saying parents are responsible for this thing is not valid. both sisters were obsessed with lavish lifestyle and partying without working hard. They just wasted their brains rather than using to make some meaningful lifestyle for themselves.
