Great video. Can it be done with just removing side panels and while boat is in the slip?
@evansmith8417 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, just may require a swivel extension for the port side to get a decent angle to pull the plugs . Now will it be a pain in the ass on the port side while in the water most likely

Thanks. I feel like I need to check these on mine. I felt like I was one cylinder down when I left the marina yesterday then shortly after noise and vibration was normal. Acceleration was back to normal. No issues for the rest of the day. Maybe a fouled plug that cleared... But in my situation it is a pain to get boat out of the water

Sticking with the etec? How long did it take to get the steering fixed
@evansmith8417 Жыл бұрын
Spent 1 month in the shop to get it fixed. I’m sticking with it for now until availability gets better on Yamaha 250 sho’s . She’s running good for now but I know it’s a matter of time with that steering system before it screws me again… 😞

Evan,what year model is you G2? I have a 2020 etec 150HO on the Shallow Sport, about to replace the spark plugs, anyone else out the have a 2020 etec 150ho? I had a dealer replace plugs last time and I do not see any evidence they marked for indexing, is it really necessary😮

It is necessary, the plugs they used are most likely self aligning , the plugs I installed were supposed to be that way too but as you can see some of them were as much as a 1/4 turn off . I did it because it’s a good habit to check especially if you are particular about getting it done 100% like the manual says
