I have a necklace like that that I picked up secondhand. I love that sucker but ever since I found out that nautiluses are endangered because people have overfished them for their pretty shells, I haven't been able to wear it in good conscience. If the population ever rebounds to safe levels I'll wear it again. Although it turns out shelled cephalopods used to be super-duper common millions of years ago, so I've been able to make a pretty easy switch over to fossil jewelry instead.
