This tournament was before a lot of patches. The past three Injustice tournaments have been incredible experiences, for real, better than EVO was. And I find EVO awesome, but negativity from the folks below me made me write this.

Superman is pretty difficult to deal with. His poke with heat vision is hard to close on, and he ends up generating more meter than the opponent because they're stuck guarding. Even when you do close in, he's very strong at that range as well. The only real way to counter-play is to gap-close ASAP before his meter advantage becomes a huge problem when you close in.

It's called zoning but it's honestly broken in this game, but in games like SF if you lose to some one who's zoning you need more practice.

.-. one thing that weirds me out still, Why does MK9, look better and it came out way before this? I'm speaking from a graphic standpoint,character texture and etc, hell I think even MKvsDCU had smoother looking characters, Injustice is awesome don't get me wrong,but during the cut scenes it looks kind lazy. I think they should have put in as much love as they did with MK. none the less the combat is awesome,I hope they continue with the series at least,it's a good game,and i hate to see it slowly vanish.

It could have been an art direction that when side by side just didn't pan out. That's really all I can think of. I completely agree that mk9 is the better looking game (textures, effects, models)

Im not sure if its worse, but its definitely not an advancement from MK9 at all. one thing i think they got right in this game were the sounds. every hit sounds powerful and heavy when they should, and light and quick when they should. it really makes every hit feel like it counts

ixup is a term used to describe a series of attacks or inputs that is forced the opponent to quickly react or guess what you going to do. The most common type is a high low mixup where you end a string with either a low or a high attack, forcing the opponent to guess which one your going to do. If they guess wrong you can get a full combo from it. Conversion just means that they got a hit outside of a setup or mix up and the player reacts to that hit and gets a nice little combo on top of it.

RagoziHD That is the notation they use to refer to the different attack buttons. Injustice has 3 main attack buttons, so light attack is 1, medium attack is 2 and heavy attack is 3.

and if by sluggish you mean slow, that's not true at all. b1,2 string comes at you at 9 frames first attack, and has ridiculous reach. It makes him a really good punisher. marine marvel f1,2's first attack comes at you at 7 frames and also has decent reach. now f1,2 can be armored out of but its risky to do because aquaman can also do f1, trident scoop which blows through the armor because it hits twice. but again, like I said, diff of opinion.

yea your right there, but he seems outsped still by many characters. i also noticed he has few overheads. the water of life has been nerfed, though. i do agree that was cheap. it now takes 12 seconds to recharge and can't save him from super moves that are beginning combos. ex:lex luthor, harley quinn

na not anymore, imo he's still top 5 though. you just gotta do his pressure a little different. f2 trait throw is a frame trap, and f2 breath can still be used. they cant jump out of it. its still the same in the corner though. the character to beat in the game right now is martian manhunter. and aquaman is pretty good too. both those characters can zone, rush down, have full screen presence, water shield is fucking annoying and ex alien pillar is probably the best projectile in the game. its impossible to jump over and it tracks pretty well. hell hawkgirl cant even fly over it. a lot of people say its teleport that makes him good but that's not the case. ex alien pillar is just fucked up.

Even though Aquaman got meaningful Nerfs as well, the universal down 2 made him a bit better with such a high hitbox for Supes in the air... but the real reason is the water shield for some reason absorbs Superman's zoning. I don't know why but there's no chip. If a DjT88 composed player was playing Aquaman I think they'd have a slight advantage over Green Lantern in terms of Superman match ups...That jump arc too. so good

If there is any character that needs to be nerfed its aquaman. His zoning reversal attack from the deep and harpooning trident are decent, has alot of good wakeup options, water of life trait is just flat out retarded, I have no idea why NRS would think to give a character a rechargeable combo breaker, has good footsies, decent mixup options, and you can be stupid aggressive with him and take alot of risks cuz water of life trait saves your ass. He's just got so many options.

well then if your too lazy to learn how to deal with lazers and projectiles, then don't complain if you lose to them. if you don't put in the time and practice, don't expect to get better. and that goes for any fighter. and this game is way more than just combos. combos are actually the easier part of the learning curve in this game. once you lean them, u need to learn set ups, mind games, pokes and strings that are safe on block, and other options to open up your opponent for combos.

The only reason superman is powerful is because his lasers GAIN meter rather than stagnating it. That one change would make him have great distance game without giving him meter for spamming lasers for free. Also Aquaman is equally broken btw.

His lazers are easily punished, his wakeup options are terrible, and he doesn't have many mixup options. as soon as you get superman on his back, its pretty much game over. If his lazers are that big a deal to you guys, then just learn a counter pick. like black atom, or martian manhunter. I personally find his lazers easy to deal with.
