Glutony and Raito started to understand each other more and more as the games progressed. The only problem was that a good read for duck hunt just gets you more damage... but a good read for Wario is a free stock. It was only a matter of time before Raito's roll in got read. He's gotta switch it up from time to time

That's all I'm saying. It's just too slow to be a useful mixup option 9/10. A good player will punish a roll get-up more often than not, they're at fault for dropping the ball if they fail to punish here.

Wario waft kills at 50 and duck hunt can’t kill reliably till like 130+ and that’s what it really came down to

Lime 27 well that full charged waft can really on kill that early once per game. Duck hunt was controlling the stage all of the matches until the end. Gluttony was able to move around all those beans while also putting pressure on ratio. Glutonny just outplayed him even while not being able to get his regular combos

DH has a bunch of issues, that Raito just happens to make work. One of those being his kill potential. There is a reason why there are a good handful of Wario players in top 100, but not so many DH.

Duck Hunt, Megaman, & Joker. Difficult characters to master, definitely... But utterly superior once mastery has been reached. At high level tournaments, players using any one of these 3 characters will have a soaring advantage over everyone else. It's basically a question of how devoted you are to training until you are excellently familiar with the complex metagame, but clearly ALL of these dudes in top 64 are INSANELY devoted to winning... If only they began sharpening their skills using 'The Right Character'. If you don't agree with what I am saying, you probably aren't understanding the fact that this game is entirely different when played at this level. Your personal experiences with how certain matchups tend to play out (playing at a lesser level of skill) are useless for evaluating the viability of a given characters moveset at such high level play as this is.
