Evo 8 HOW TO REMOVE a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Timing Belt In 6 Minutes!!

PART 1. IF YOU NEED INSTALL SEE PART 2.
If your doing this at home in your garage with a floor jack plan about 5/6 hours, (ive done this job both ways) and take your time.
If your Evo is anything over 500hp
Delete the balance shafts!!!!!, We’ve seen countless Evos with smashed valves due to balance shaft belts snapping and taking the timing belt out with them. Its a little extra $$ and work but well worth the headache and the bill if your valves and pistons collide.
Parts list replaced:
Timing Belt
Balance Shaft Belt
Hydraulic Tensioner
Balance Shaft Tensioner
Idler Pulley
Timing Pulley
The customer was advised to do the water pump since everything else was being replaced but declined the service since the vehicle has low milage.
