Great video you made everything really clear and simple.

Also I done mine if you cut that wire that goes over the top you can extend it and tuck it down the left side it’s just two normal 10amp wires

Is there a torque spec you used and a specific tightening order?

Dude looks awesome. Keep up the dope videos bro! Btw do you have a catch can set up on your car? Heard those and the relay update are basically must dos on the Evo for longevity. Anyway keep the posts up man.

Thanks bro at the moment i do not have a catch can, but its on the way been waiting for 2 months now, so a video of that should be coming soon

What's the paint code / color you used? Looks like the Evo 8/9 valve cover. It looks awesome. That mivec wire looks so bad on our cars. There's a company that sells an extension that is plug and play that lets you wire tuck that cable out of the way

ILLUSION CHERRY Item: PMB-6905 Thanks and yeah i plan on tucking the wires it does make the engine bay look so much cleaner and i got the powder coat from prismatic powders

Did you replace the valve cover gasket ? Any steps in between that you didn’t talk about bro ?
@simplymodified8476 жыл бұрын
You dont have to replace it if its in good condition no rips or tears and its not crusty or hard , just clean the surface and tighten it crisscross pattern little by little and it takes a dab of sealant where the timing chain cover meets the head i belive, but if not you'll see where when it comes off

@@simplymodified847 thank you bro! i have one more question, I am thinking of getting an aluminum valve cover too and getting it powder coated. When they finish powder coating, do you need to treat the inside surface ? Or I guess im asking is it safe to throw on right after getting it back from the paint shop?

is their a benefit to the alum valve cover over the plastic one?
@simplymodified8476 жыл бұрын
Supposedly the plastic one likes to melt sometimes if you upgrade your exhaust manifold to a tubular one without a heat shield and other heat related mods
@Clintcronin5 жыл бұрын
Plastic ones will melt with a tubular manifold . Aluminum is the way to go .

thinking of doing this to my evo do i have to replace my valve cover gasket? btw great vid keep it up!
@simplymodified8476 жыл бұрын
Thanks and the gasket is a thick rubber type as long as it's not ripped or old and hard you should be fine just be careful when taking it off because its attached with sealant by the timing chain cover and just apply a little when you install it
