Darmie: I want to express my sincerest gratitude for this video. I installed the software on a $75 used throwaway laptop from Amazon (because software from Buggies Gone Wild contains a virus, and it is too dangerous to install it on your primary laptop) and followed your instructions. They worked great and my 2025 Evolution D5 Ranger 4 now goes over 30mph, and I am no longer holding up traffic because cars would always like to go more than 25 mph and I always had to pull over and wave them past.

Great video!! I recently purchased a 2024 Evolution Classic and wanted to up the H/L speeds. Your video was spot on! Previously, I had an EZGO cart that had a Curtis controller and had purchased a USB-TTL Programmer interface device off of eBay. It worked great for the Curtis controller and also worked with the Evolution controller using the EV48-400-C software! Again, thanks for the great video!

@@mark090455 Any software install testing, do it on a laptop you can reformat. Use USB to install, don't connect to WiFi.

Welcome. I think it's only windows but may be able to use an emulator?

Only for Windows. I installed VMware Fusion on my Mac, created a Windows 11 VM, and had no problems running the software.

Great video and explanation. I used your parameters on my 24 Evolution Forrester and they work great. My only complaint is at low end acceleration it "jumps" too fast at takeoff with just a touch of the pedal. So should I lower the numbers at the 0-500rpm? What would you recommend? Thanks

Thanks for the video - very helpful. I understand there is a separate cable and program to get the cart history (not fault history). It shows trips length speed etc etc. Are you familiar with that?

When you open up the software zip file you'll see there are some drivers that need to be run. Construction should be included on the software ZIP file.

What’s the mileage calculation tab have under it? Is it for changing the wheel size and adjusting the Speedo or actually typing in an odometer reading?

@@CgBrian I think it is for wheel size. I know how it's set online it's pretty spot-on with the GPS reading

Question of the year. Ok. So the new 2025 plus screen has CarPlay, Android Auto, etc. can confirm the wiring harnesses are identical and you can plug a “2025” screen into any Evolution model that had the old screen and it completely works. I’m NOT convinced there is a single hardware change and this is merely a FW flash. Whatcha got on research into that area?

I have a 2024 d5 im guessing its a 400-a since i cant find an English file. I downloaded the one from buggy forums and the installer is in Chinese. I got it to download but it asked for a key and i cant understand the instructions

Mine is a ev48-400-a. I finally got it registered. Now it says communication failed as in receive response info. Maybe it's my computer or driver. I used the driver in the file

I am at 25mph as well. I would really like it to do 32. Could you make it go faster than 32 if you wanted to? Just curious what the limitations are on this cart.

@@WILLIE3K I'm sure you can, but I have a 17 year old and don't want to take the risk. Also the main mechanic at Jack'd Carts didn't recommend anything over 30 because of the issues it develops and into his shop.

Tom - How did you get a copy of the software that does not contain a virus? Can you share it? Think software links I have seen on here all contain a virus when you try to install them.

I would recommend checking out this website and select your cart. He he has a broken down to what your controller looks like to determine the right type of cable. If it is a 2024 evolution then chances are it will be the cable that I have linked to. Most of these controllers are based upon the year model as noted from his website. How much faster did it make the cart

It was set at 25. I got it up to 28. I've seen 29 one time on the GPS. since the manufacture sets the max RPM that's about all you can get. You can put higher wheels or tires but the RPM is the limiting factor so for my cart, 28 is it.
