If possible, I'd love to see the scores broken down a bit more into numerics like versatility, dependability, flight compared to numbers, etc... I think it would help communicate your guys' knowledge and experience a bit better to the audience. With that said though, great videos all around and keep up the fantastic work!

The dependability score would be high for OS discs and low for US discs so i dont think that would be a good one. All discs if thrown the same will fly the same(in no wind) but for some reason we tend to call some discs inconsistent or independable when that doesnt really describe anything except how much it will fix mistakes in your throw for you(so basically very OS discs).
@ZeJester2 жыл бұрын
@@shibo2319 Dependability is not based how it flies in no wind, but rather how it flies in all conditions. It's called dependable because you get the same flight or very close to it in no wind and in high wind. An understable disc on the other hand flies drastically different in different wind conditions, so it is more challenging to gauge. The scores that I would like to see are less about "how good" a disc is and more a reflection of the qualities that disc has since all discs are "good" in some way. Thank you for the feedback though. It is an interesting point.
@shibo23192 жыл бұрын
@@ZeJester yea sure. I just find it annoying when people call discs inconsistent because that simply means you cant throw it on the same line multiple times(which usually means US or just some disc they dont like)
@ZeJester2 жыл бұрын
@@shibo2319 Agreed. I don't like the term "inconsistent" because like you say, inconsistency is on you and not the disc. To me, dependability is a better term because I can pick up a Justice I've never thrown and depend on it fading in a headwind. Whereas a disc like a Convict is somewhere in the middle where it has some dependability, but there is still an amount of wind that will flip it no matter how well you throw it. In the end, I don't really care what terms they use, so much as I would like to learn more about the disc than simply, "That's a good disc". I have discs that people don't really like, but I love and I also have discs that people love normally, but don't fly or feel right for me. So more objective stats would help in the communication. Again, I do agree with you though. People need to own up to their mistakes or else they will never grow.

I love my splice for utility shots, big skip shots. It in my opinion is a more usable tilt
@shanebunk72612 жыл бұрын
I just went a grabbed a backup Splice yesterday, it is THE disc that gets me out of nasty scrambles. Completely agree it is a less aggressive Tilt, feels better to throw as well and has more glide albeit not much more lol. The comment on it going exactly how far you throw it is true, it is very consistent in that respect as well.
@nootimus2 жыл бұрын
I've thrown both the tilt and splice and must disagree on people saying the splice is unthrowable like the tilt. Yes, it's very overstable but I am able to forehand it comfortably on a laser beam line with a strong finish and even manage to backhand it for certain shots. It is most definitely not as near stable as the tilt. IME it's a more stable firebird.

I was gonna comment this, glad someone beat me to it. The Flare is so meaty, I took it out of my bag because of too much overlap with the Tilt. I threw one on a roller angle and it flew like a flat teebird, went maybe 270. I throw about 400 ish, for reference. 450 on a good day with good wind.

Definitely seems like it's for a a pro with a high arm speed or a utility disk to scramble with. Much better review than your recent review of the vortex which in my opinion needs to be redone.

I had this disc for 1 throw (in blue) and decided to sell it. It flew like the disc in the review only even more extreme. Having thrown the tilt, in a blind stamp test it would be hard to think they weren't the same disc. It's way too overstable for any real life use, the captain raptor or firebird would be more useful for 90% of players.
@benduimstra74372 жыл бұрын
Yeah I wish I read this before buying it. My firebird beat in after a year and didn’t have the beef I wanted, so I thought the splice would be good to try and might be a bit more overstable. However, it is wayyy more overstable. I can’t throw this thing over 300 ft, and it seems even more OS than the one Trevor has. Honestly might throw this straight into a tree a few dozen times to try and beat it in.
