I'm not entirely sure but it looks like they used it in Dragons Rising. Spoilers When they were fighting the monster in the Cloud Kingdom, Nya and Kai used spinjitsu, or maybe airjitsu, to get on or over the monster to attack it. It just looked like regular spinjitsu, though, so I'm not sure. Spinjitsu has been used like that before in the pilot of Ninjago after they got the Scythe of Quakes

Could be a more advanced spinjitzu allowing them to take flight. Thats essentially was airjitzu was but the ninja could be doing it in such a way where they wouldnt bw using dark magic bur they need like a boost by jumping to do it or something.
