One can see the clear difference with Baryshnikov. He held the stillness longer on the end of each jump and his turns are tight and extremely clean. Everything clean, clean, clean. Never sloppy flailing around.

Kim is very clean as well. I LOVE dancers who can always stay with the music! Not only landing but also all the micro movements between the beats. The orchestra indeed should follow the dancers, but the dancers also need to be steady enough for the orchestra to maintain the tempo and rhythm. Both Baryshnikov and Kim achieved it flawlessly.

The choreography seems to change based on the dancer’s strengths. I thought Soloviev looked like a silent screen star. Baryshnikov is the boss. It’s hard not to compare everyone to him. True North.

Its Kim i prefer his grands jetés jaw dropping, Acosta and Baryhnikov sbstitue jumps to grands jetés, more acrobatic but not so beautiful.For the hands well placedSoloviev😮 and Kim the best.Definitely for me Kim has everything technique breathtaking and unbelievable charisma.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Услышала мнение "знатока(?)" из партера, что Кимин только прыгает, что не умеет передать эмоции. Я была в шоке - очень нравится не только его техника и красота, но и музыкальность, точность передачи образа!

My top 3: VASILIEV- Those en dedans turns are risky and formidable. It's a historic perfect moment. SOLOVIEV- Time is still for geniuses. BARYSHNIKOV- He made Ballet better. Honorable mention- RUDOLF NUREYEV The variation exists in popularity because of him.

The difference over 60 years. Soloviev was a hero, Barishnykov just because he changed the image completely, but Kimin Kim holds a special place for me.

I love the Le Corsaire Pas de deux, and also I think the whole Ali part is an amazing part for brilliant dancers, and so it's no wonder that these were all great dancers here (though, I think Nurejev should have been there, too, perhaps, as it was also one of his most iconic parts....). By the way, hard to imagine that Ali had been not in the original Le Corsaire, so all these changes in ballets are indeed a good thing (; (definitely one of my favorite underrated ballet characters (; )

Baryshnikov! Incredible ballon, elevation, and speed. I agree that Nureyev belongs in this compilation. All are great dancers. You see Vasiliev's every preparation which detracts a little. Acosta is dynamic but lacking the airborne lightness of Baryshnikov, Soloviev and Kim.

The music gets slower over time which allows for more expression and better technique. The grand jetés become higher and more "split". All the dancers are fabulous.

Grazie per lo splendido video, trovo che sia di ispirazione vedere i ballerini\ballerine e l' evoluzione tecnica che ci hanno preceduto: tra questi il mio preferito, sebbene trovo che siano tutti bravissimissimiiiiiiiiiiiiii, è Yuri Soloviev (nota di merito per Nureyev e il mio preferito in assoluto è Ivan Vasiliev che non c' è in questo video)

Soloviev lives in my heart. Super high jumps, doubles, and perfect tempo. ❤ Vasiliev is always fantastic. Acosta defines ellegance.
