Bullshit, stop spreading misinformation without being asked to by anyone. Whoever is reading this, these particular anime that he named are nowhere near being the most popular, not in Japan, not in the West, not worldwide. They just happened to be some of the best starting points for kids who were born in the 90's to get into anime, but the same can be said about Pokemon, Digimon, Yugioh and countless others. You don't have to know this kind of shit and no one from the community should be forcing these onto anyone especially not onpeople who just recently got into the whole "otaku" thing. Being a 90's kid pushing 24 years of age, I would never recommend any of these to anyone (excluding Hunter Hunter, the 2011 version of course) because there are much better options out there nowadays.
