Seriously, even before his Renaissance of sorts in more recent games, Chargin' Chuck has always been one of my favourite Mario enemies. I mean, the sheer idea of Koopa football players is out there, but so freaking cool.

1:24 If you notice carefully, the sleeping fish wake up at the same time the Chargin' Chuck raises him arms-they don't respond to its "whistling." I wonder if this is one of those glitches they fixed in the GBA _Super Mario Advance: Super Mario World_ version?

It's not a glitch. They didn't just program it to time on the whistle, and instead programmed it on sprite start.

If you ever beat Super Mario World, he shows up in the credits as "Chargin Chuck." That's what I went with because after you hit him, he charges at you. Would have been awesome to see him as a guest in the football games. Missed opportunity there.

Chargin Chucks are large strong Koopa Troopas that wear gridiron football gear. They don white helmets with a sky blue vertical line in the center between the two orange lines, blue uniforms, black shells, white gloves and bright red cleats with silver spikes below the orange soles. They also have infant face expressions and tiny black squinting eyes. Lastly, they actually have two sky blue hairy tufts on the top center of their heads with pale yellow tips when they lose their helmets.
