I literally finished the game + dlc + life stuff in 3 days. Now I'm S ranking all the levels just to get at least a little bit of a challenge. But once you learn the patterns for each boss fight the game is a piece of cake but I have to say the game overall is very fun and most bosses are really good designed

I find it very interesting how all the animations were done by hand it’s a good throw back to 1930’s cartoons but I never knew it took about 10 years for the game to come out due to that you could say it’s almost how Squid Game was made because the director had a 10 year journey being rejected by multiple Korean studios

Another thing the Parry Slap can do (this is coming from someone who REALLY can’t beat the first dang level, even with 2 players): It can revive the other player if you make contact, yet the more you try revive your mug or cup sibling, the quicker the ghost rises.

I remember seeing it before E3 2015 and knowing everything was hand drawn and knowing that I had to have it. 2023 I finally have it because I was waiting for a physical release and the dlc included on switch. I came so close to buy it on pc in 2017.

Cuphead wasn't the first one to actually use this style. Ducktales remastered used disney animation, a bit newer with mix of 3d, but duck tales remastered was the first attempt of doing something like that I think

I find it annoying when people were complaining about the cuphead dlc being 2 years delayed (I think it’s 2 at least I forgot) when they didn’t know that this was all hand drawn in ones. A full minute of animation in one’s for 24 frames is 1440 frames they had to hand draw, even with all the animators on deck. But it is grand to see how they make it in the world I will admit that :)
