It’s strange having Donut Plains set in the jungle but they just reused the background from Lake/Riverside Park and that goes the same with Vanilla Lake and Snowland, The Mario Circuits and the GBA Circuirs and both of those Rainbow Roads

Maybe they were just added as a last minute extra, since they also lack all the obstacles the originals had

Or maybe the GBA limitations may be the cause, and also Because Super Circuit is produced by Intelligent Systems, and not by Nintendo SPD, the hazards are stripped away.
