@@izv3174 I feel like that's a little cheesy, it would have been better if it was taking it off, as Mikasa at the end still liked Eren, and if Eren was taking the scarf off, it would try to tell her to let go of him and be free, as the scarf is kind of a link between Eren and Mikasa, and he knew Mikasa wouldn't let go and be free, which is what he wanted for his friends and himself. Even if he couldn't be free until the end, he still wants his friends to be free in his stead. Him fixing the scarf is kind of contradictory of everything he wanted to accomplish.

It seems the story was poorly grasped for your part. -Eren's first transformation into a (pure) titan was right after the destruction of wall Maria, when he was ten, not seven (Grisha hurried to pass the Attack and Founder Titan to his son immediately. It wouldn't make sense otherwise). -Eren met Mikasa and gave her his scarf when they both were nine. -By the end of the 3rd season, Eren had already turned 16.
