beckham wasn't the best at his position but his style of play was different, the way he controlled a cross free kick long ball....and puyol was something else in his younger years of course you could make an argument for cannavaro but puyol was one of the best

Evolution of football? What I see here are examples of players that have the same qualities, I don't think this video illustrates changes in the game. There are some entertaining clips though. Pele often gets dismissed (in KZbin arguments at least) as a good player in an age of footballing naivety, but just seeing him again reminds me how incredible he was. Control, finishing, athleticism, imagination- all exceptional.
