Horizon 1 had the awesome vibes of a car and music festival from the scenery to the soundtrack music. Even the car list was unique. Cars like the 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser and 2012 Mercedes S65 AMG with the 6.0 liter V12 engine have only appeared in Horizon 1 and so far, have not returned since then. For Horizon 2, the vibe of during summer road trips across Southern France and Northern Italy is truly amazing in my opinion. Add to the fact that Horizon 2 on the Xbox One delivered a true open world free roam map makes the experience even better.

It's only right that we give one of the biggest racing series that took the world by storm the love it deserves, with a series of throwbacks and nostalgia galore. Even if the series has been steadily decreasing in popularity, it will still hold up as one of the highlights of our late childhoods.

Wouldn't say it's decreased in popularity, rather decreased in atmosphere, (car) cultural representation storyline and most importantly progression. FH5 is the most popular one of the series, while being the most bland, to appeal to the biggest audience

12:35 Could not agree more. It's why 2 was good fun as a story. You did not do all the races in the same car. You had to explore different classes etc. The road trip to the next area was great too. It's something I hate about being a "superstar" in the last two. The early games had you as a nobody, you had to follow the rules, you had named opponents etc. I'm replaying the first one now, and I've had more fun there than I did in 5 after I got halfway and did feel like I was working for the festival vs enjoying it. That and the story is better told on the early games vs the wide-cam conversations the new one has.

Horizon 3 wasn't my first Forza or my first Horizon game. I've played all of them in order. But it's the first one that i spent my money on and bought DLCs for and it was my first time spending time online in a game. Every single Horizon has its flaws and its strengths, i even enjoy Horizon 5 (way more than i did at launch) but man, Horizon 3 was just everything for me

I got my first Xbox in 2019, with FH4 pre-installed. I found a copy of FH3 at a local shop, and I recently started playing around with FH5. Of those, I prefer the setting and feel of the cars most in 3. From what I've heard here and elsewhere though, I have to see if I can get 1&2.

Personally I think Horizon 1 is the best one of them for me. I still remember olaying it in my friends house on his xbox 360. and that was at the same time i played fh3 on a xbox one s from an other friend and fh4 on my xbox one s. Now I play fh5 just like a year and that was almost it. I never really have played fh2 much (probably about 3.5 hours) so I can really judge at that. But my personal opinien is: fh1 fh3 fh4 fh2 fh5

Honestly... When I played FH4 after playing FH3 so much I noticed it was slightly more slippery... But getting into FH5, it was awfull, I really felt the difference! I can't really explain it, the car seemed to be gliding or something

Horizon 2 was my first horizon and while I somewhat agree the "vibe" of Horizon 1 is better, Horizon 2 and 3 felt so inclusive. Specially when the convoy was added in 3 and you could just drive anywhere with a group of drivatars that would follow you. the world felt alive in those games. Favorite feature of Horizon 2 was the parking garage car meets. Fastest way to race people on there. So many memories.

I enjoy the 4th one more even if they robbed players with the DLC's. My only real issue with playing Forza on pc, is the lack of communicating with people. You need to use the in game overlay to connect to your crew but the overlay doesn't work anymore and logging into your Xbox app, you can't connect with other players if you don't have them as a friend. Can't even locate your crew. The fun of using Xbox.

FH1 takes the top spot, with playing FH3 on my Xbox one x when i still had a Xbox takes a close 2nd. but yeh when i tried to reinstall FH3 on PC to replay one of my favourite Forza games, it's extremely sad with how bugged and broken to all fuck it is on PC. part of me hopes they will one day fix the game cause it's unplayable
