Spoiler warning for long list of info about Galacta Knight! TL;DR: Galacta sealed Void Termina with 3 friends, Hyness sealed Galacta, Galacta is a good guy, Galacta was turned into Morpho Knight: meaning Morpho is basically still Galacta. The Japanese version says Morpho Knight is from Hell. 1. It's implied canon that Hyness was the one who originally sealed Galacta away, and expected the Halcandrans (who were fighting his people, the Jamba) to be thankful for it. I don't recall the exact phrasing, but it was something like "we alone defeated the galactic crisis, but then we got sealed away ourselves! That was rude, Halcandrans!" 2. Considering Galacta has a bad relationship with the Novas (a miiverse post said that he considers Star Dream his enemy because it forced him to travel through time and space, as did the other Nova), which the Halcandrans made, implies Galacta was not friends with the Halcandrans when he was sealed. That, and what Hyness said, though he is crazy and should not be trusted when he said the Halcandrans would want Galacta sealed. Galacta Knight probably wasn't on either of the sides of the Jamba/Halcandra conflict when he was sealed, going by both pieces of information. 3. Though it's not quite confirmed, Galacta was probably one of the four warriors who originally sealed Void Termina, because they were said to be strong and he is called strong. Meta Knight and Dark Meta Knight also being called "strongest warriors" makes it possible that that's just what they (the writers of Kirby) call any sufficiently impressive character, or perhaps any Knight. I can't actually find the part where it said Void Termina's attackers were strong, awkwardly enough. 4. As is made clearer in the Japanese version, Morpho Knight is Galacta Knight, just transformed or possibly a fusion. As in, that's definitely Galacta turned into Morpho Knight, but it might also be the butterfly "in there" too rather than the butterfly merely giving him a cooler costume and not being a real character on its own. (note; Morpho is called something like "Burfrey Knight" in Japanese, not Morpho Knight). 5. In Japanese mythology, butterflies are often used to symbolize death or the souls of those not awake (dead or sleeping/dreaming). This relates to how the Japanese version says that Morpho is metaphorically from Hell (technically it says Yomi, or the Shinto afterlife, but sometimes an anime will use Yomi to mean how English-speakers mean Hell. However, Yomi is not on fire, nor only for evil people, nor unpleasant to be in. Everyone goes underground to Yomi when they die according to Japanese myth, and that's considered desirable more like how Heaven is a desirable afterlife). 6. There's a popular Japanese theory in the Kirby fandom, due to some ambiguous phrasing in the Japanese info, that the butterfly is or has the souls of everyone Galacta killed in battle. Whether it's angry at its collective killer and possessing Galacta as a vengeful ghost, or what, is a matter of debate. The ambiguous phrasing in question says that Galacta Knight was brought into the future "with cries of life", roughly translated, but Japanese doesn't have plurals (it might have been Galacta's own cry of life, as in he's not dead when he was brought to the future) and it's unclear if some sort of literal cries came to the future with him (which would be people that had reason to cry about their lives and Galacta Knight, like the dead souls in the theory) or if that was just an artistic description of something or other. 7. Interestingly, in the Japanese version Morpho is called a "bird dreaming of paradise" rather than a "fluttery fiend". That is a literal translation. Morpho being called a bird probably ties back to him being Galacta, who has feathered wings, but the important thing is that - while dreaming of paradise might make him a well-intentioned extremist sort of character, at worst - there's no real reason to think Morpho is evil (in Japanese culture. someone being from the afterlife does not mean they are evil, since Yomi is where everyone goes; kind of like the grim reaper, who embodies death but is not normally considered a bad guy). Also of note in his info, Galacta is called a white knight, rather than pink; they may have been playing with the English saying where a white knight is a good/protective knight. The miiverse post justifying why Galacta seems antagonistic also implies he's not very evil. 8. Note how Galacta, other than in an arena which was stated to not be canon by miiverse, Galacta and Morpho never fight Kirby. In fact, the butterfly seems to like Kirby. This may tie into them being not evil, or something else, such as them knowing Kirby is powerful or important or a good person and not wanting to go near that normally, instead fighting other random characters like Meta Knight. This may be nothing but it's interesting since pretty much every other character in Kirby (who's ever been seen fighting) has canonically tried to kill Kirby, except for Galacta and the butterfly and Morpho. 9. Here's as good a translation as I have for the Japanese info screen for Morpho Knight: ”Something has ended, that on the day of judgment will fly from somewhere, a bird dreaming of paradise. The white knight who is said to be the most powerful in the galaxy, brought forward many years along with cries of life, became a knight from Hell. In the darkness of history he was buried, this anonymous presence was never supposed to be fought, a dream confrontation... is starting! !"

In super star ultra he was designed for meta knight which is why he is so difficult to fight as kirby. The other entries were made for kirby which is why he attacks slower. In planet robobot they used return to dreamland as reference for his attacks and star allies was just really easy...

I always interpreted Galacta Knight flying away as him retreating to beyond spacetime. Note that he was last seen flying away and EXPLODING at the end of Meta Nightmare Ultra (his first appearance), only to somehow come back sealed in a crystal for Return to Dream Land's True Arena. Presumably, he did something similar for Planet Robobot and Star Allies.

Yeah, this game is much easier than others. I found that I usually have some trouble with the final boss, but I didn't even get close to dying. The true arena is replaced by the SSB4 classic mode style difficulty choosing for the arena. This game is not nearly as good as Super Star Ultra or Planet Robobot. I am also not a fan that there is no Meta Knightmare/ Dedede Tour in this game. I don't think I want to 100% complete this game unlike I did with Planet Robobot.

That Butterfly, which appears in the opening and ending of Return to Dreamland, the opening of Triple Deluxe, and ending of Planet Robobot, took the shape of Galacta Knight and became his own thing. When Morpho Knight was defeated, you can see a light leave him along with the butterflies. The light is most likely Galacta Knight's.

One thing I have to say: I liked the little thing Galacta Knight did in the intro to the first two battles with him. I see why he didn't do it in Robobot, because Star Dream awoke him yadda yadda, but it upsets me they didn't do it in Star Allies either.

I for one want Galacta Knight to be playable and not just a boss. If only they made a new boss instead of a Galacta boss in Guest Stars go, I would see a chance for Galacta Knight. Maybe they'll add him to smash. He would be an OP character.

Was anyone else hoping that this insect would be the secret final boss in Triple Deluxe instead of Dark Meta Knight? It just seems more fitting with the theme of the game! (And it'd probably be a harder fight without being able to do ally stuff). I also have mixed feelings about a somewhat older character being...absorbed? Fused? Vaporized? Is this what he's going to look like from now on, or is he able to revert? I mean, I guess none of it matters in the long run, since Galacta Knight has never appeared in any "canon" instances of the series. I guess he's just part of an alternate timeline or something...

Based on flows in Morpho Knight's stage and the insect theme I would guess that the butterfly may have been some remnant of Queen Sectonia and she took over Galacta Knight to try and get revenge. Well, that is my head-cannon in universe reasoning. I have heard that Morpho Knight is based on Meta Knight's concept designs.

The first time I fought Galacta Knight, he was somewhat OP, even in Robobot, he is somewhat even more OP. Pretty much no matter what game, he will always become more OP as the series advances

plot twist. Galacta knight, is pink with white kirby, is pink. coincidence? I THINK NOT kirby is galacta knight, and galacta knight is kirby’s older self. kirby was sent into the future, or kirby is galacta knight’s son. Meta knight is most likely the same race as kirby.
