Well said till the last part. Germany nowadays is not a beacon of anything, it's a sham corporate state created only to keep the region afloat. There is no nation state, no national pride, no national celebrations, it's a federated corporation disguised as a state, just as it was intended to be by the victorious powers that created it in the first place and still write history from their perspective to this day.

The video is really well made and I thank for the respect of Germany! Just a little criticism, Germany is much older and the middle ages should've been included too. And I think you put a bit too much focus on Prussia. Prussia united most of the German states later to a modern nationstate, but the nation Germany began to exist in the 9th century, which is when the Germans formed out of the original Germanic tribes. Since then Germany exists in different shapes, independant from state borders. But still a great idea thanks!

Don't really like how most people who tell the story of Germany focus 100% on Prussia like they were the only state where Germans lived and as if it was the only state that could possibly have unified Germany. Almost nothing is mentioned about how a lot of the German states wanted Austrian rule and disliked Prussia. There is no mention either of the Saxons, Hanoverians, Hessians, Bavarians Wurttembergers, Brunswickers, Oldenburgers, Westphalians among others who all made unification possible and had their own ideals of what would be best for the fragile balance of states that would become Germany. Prussia was no more German than any of the others, many forget that their "Conquer or die" policy that ensured their survival early on is also the reason there is no longer a Prussia inside or outside of Germany.
