It had a good story to it, and the special effects were amazing, still holding up to this day. Plus the roar/sound design was really good aswell. I can see why people disliked it though. He shouldn't have ran from the military, he should have fought it. Ofc, at the end of the day - it was a mutated iguana, it didn't really know what it was doing. Also, I think they shouldn't have removed the atomic breath and such

I like how the 1984 film expanded more on Godzilla being a ravenous monster like how he is in the recent films, the 90’s movies made Godzilla’s looks more like today and the 1999 movie really expands on Godzilla’s thirst for destruction.
