Your wish already exists. There is a mod for that for GTA SanAndreas. It is called GTA Underground. From SanAndreas, You can actually fly to Vice City, Liberty City, Bullsworth (bully map) and Carcer City. It is still in development.

Ok, who else wants this for GTA 6? The 3 cities, only larger with mini cities and rural areas for them, all separated and you can only reach each one by plane or boat. 3 main characters who all get connected through some sort of criminal empire and each live in different cities. You can work your way up each separate criminal empire or build one with all 3 characters. You can pull off heists, rob people and stores, traffic drugs and guns, do hitman work, and much more illegal lines of work. Each character starts off as a grunt of there empire, like say one is part of a street gang, one is in a mafia, and one is an illegal contractor. A game along these lines would be so cool. Each city has different stuff that you can only get in it. Bring back restaurants, car dealerships, and random stores and buildings you can go into. This is the game ive been wanting for so long. Who else wants this?

I was a HUGE ps1 addict back in the day... and I played the first 2 GTA games on that console. I rented them from the local movie rental place called Captain Video but still have the saves on my old memory cards. I had GTA SA and Vice City for my ps2 but lost them when I moved. I have IV and V for my ps3 and recently bought SA and VC again for my ps4. I do appreciate the more polished look than when it was the ps2 disc, I'm glad they put in the effort. My favorite out of all is San Andreas. There is soooo much to do in that game, in multiple different areas with their own unique themes. (However my passion back then was spyro and I'm stoked to get the remastered version. GTA wasn't my absolute favorite, but on my top 5)

Wasn't gta created because of a glitch...the police in the original cops and robbers game were bugged out once and instead of ending the game when they hit you it didn't end and they kept ramming you (the player) off the road and into walls and they decided that it was a good enough to change everything into the gta we know today

Being an active player of GTA 1 to this day, I feel like you guys at Gameranx didn't quite do it justice. GTA 1 was quite detailed for its' time. Walk signs and stoplights actually direct traffic, ambulances _did_ respond to dead NPCs (and ambulance crew were capable of reviving them back to life), as well as fire trucks responding to destroyed cars and such. Each city had its' own set of vehicles, there was a functioning radio with actual DJs and pretty good original music (the GTA 1 theme song is singlehandedly the best original song in the whole series imo). But the main thing you guys missed was the dimension. It _felt_ 3D. You really can't do it justice from screenshots. There were actual jumps and ramps (many of which required a motorbike to perform, as cars could not ascend or descend steep inclines), and if you jumped from high enough at a fast enough speed, you could get insane air time and land the car with hard damage. But hell, was it fun landing on top of that tree in the park in San Andreas. Car damage was cool, too. The more damage your car took, the worse it perfomed. I hate that they took that out of the subsequent games post-GTA III. Car physics were shit though. Can't push anything out of the way; even with a giant Tanker or Juggernaut you'd still have to dodge cars. And the first GTA did *one* thing better than the rest; traffic. In GTA III onwards, whenever you found a hot Infernus or Banshee, in a few minutes there'd be a bunch of them on the streets. In GTA 1, when you found a rare F-19 supercar, you _treasured_ that little shit, because it could be the last one you'll ever see that week (because GTA 1 lacked an option to save in the middle of a level, which I fucking hate. And you can't store cars, either.)

San Andreas is the last GTA that felt like a GTA. It seems they're going for more 'realism' these days. Obviously not full on realism by any means, but last gen it got way more grounded in reality, whether it's because of increased freedom of new hardware or just a general decision to go a slightly different direction with the series. I mean, as a glaringly obvious example, having a jetpack in GTA IV or V would feel 100% out of place, and that's the type of odd shit I liked in GTA, and it didn't feel weird in SA. There's quite a bit of odd stuff like that in the older games which just wouldn't fit in with how V is (and to a lesser extent, IV).

Alex Wei You can, all you have to do is grab a mic and put on a backpack and have a friend toss a sticky bomb on your back (hidden by the backpack) and get into someones car, then yell "ALLAHU AKBAR!" into the mic as a code for your friend to detonate the bomb. Its most funny to be in lobby chat so the other player can hear you yelling the code. I do it all the time. Might even dedicate an entire video to it.

GTA 3 put the game on the map, GTA Vice City, gave it that extra push, and GTA San Andreas knocked it out of the FUCKING ball park. I don't care what ANYONE says. Almost everyone grew up playing it, it gave us the best memes, the best main character, the story was on point, i could go on about how good it was and how influential it was to the gaming community. Every game that came out after it had to really pull their weight to even compete with it. And to add in, GTA San Andreas also gave us everyones favourite crazy bitch, Catalina. Yeah sure, GTA 3 had her as well, but she was 100% better in San Andreas.

Oh man vice city was one of my first gta game I ever played. Had lots of fun playing it in the summer times when I got home from school and when it was summer break. Just sat there and played vice city gta and drank Pepsi and Coke cola. Fun times fun times

They have to add the gym features like SA and new fighting styles to learn. Also add the drug trading market system they had for Chinatown wars. All of that was worth playing the game by itself.
