groot in GOTG 1 (guardians of the galaxy) is a different groot to GOTG 2 and onwards. Groot in GOTG 1 dies, the next groot is his son. So it's not the whole evolution

You're right! James Gunn tweeted in 2018: “First Groot is dead. Baby Groot is his son.” But Baby Groot is still a Groot. And we couldn't make an evolution video about Adult Groot only.
