I studied 8080 architecture, instruction set, everything there is to know about in college for my CS degree. It may look simple but it's very very very complex. Took us 2-3 years to learn everything about it and its counterparts (Z80 MCU, 8051 MCU, memory modules and other stuff I can't remember). If you think about it, if those MCU's were complicated, I am pretty sure it's almost impossible for a single person to fully understand a modern CPU such as the Ryzen 9 5900x that has 19.2 billion transistors on a 7nm architecture. It's crazy how much we advanced in 50 years.

@StDu Stelios it does, 9900k could be considered the new FX, old, hot, Power hungry. And btw u cant compare a 16c Cpu with a 8c cpu by price, that´s not how that works u have to compare prices between 3800x/3700x and 9900k, and why would u buy the 500€ 9900k then? Or are u one of that genius people which are going to buy a 9900k with an 2080ti just to play on 1080p?

This is interesting. Take note at the 1:20 mark was when I'd gotten started at Compaq. I was literally building computers from scratch and good enough to build complete pc with my eyes closed haha for real. I remember in the lab collecting parts like motherboards and these cpu's to put together "scrap' computers in the lab to watch tv and play games. We were actually building various counters and playing network games to find any variations incompatible and fixing bugs. I was also involved in the development and testing if WiFi AND Bluetooth. So amazing how far they've both come, and the variances/uses between the 2 wireless technologies. Technology is so awesome.

I think we live in the Matrix, I'm not saying it's exactly like the movie, but something similar and watching how CPU's are made makes me wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes.
