He always was a god slayer; we just never saw it until more recently. Actually, I think Death Battle had a hand in this. When they announced Kirby vs. Majin Buu, everyone thought Buu would win. When they announced that Kirby won, the powerscaling community went crazy into Kirby and then realized that the Kirbyverse was absolutely nuts. This was around when Triple Deluxe was the newest mainline game. And then when Smash Ultimate came out, and Kirby survived the World of Light cinematic, people kinda laughed stating that Kirby was gonna win and that this was just his “slightly odd Thursday.”

My personal ranking: 5. Star Allies - It starts out great with the DBZ laser moment. However, the animation right after is underwhelming along with the music. 4. Return to Dreamland - I like the lead-up to Ultra Sword’s final chop with 2 prior super abilities to break through Magolor’s last defense. The music is amazing and when it suddenly cuts to the sequence of slashes you deal to him, the silence is great. 3. Triple Deluxe: Dedede and Taranza uniting the components to the literal description of a black hole is a very nice buildup. The music is great and the dramatic pause before Kirby spews the laser back out is comedic AND punctual. 2. Planet Robobot - The electric guitar yelling while Kirby’s Robobot Armor is launched is amazing, and Kirby drilling through Star Dream’s last defenses is extremely badass. Star Dream squinting as it struggles to fight you off also adds to the amount of power you feel. And THEN you say “screw you” (quite literally) and DRILL Star Dream CLOCKWISE into itself. Also has my favorite Kirby war cry. 1. Forgotten Land - Running a god over with a truck is by far one of my favorite scenes ever. The buildup is also very good. You rescue Elfilin, and then Elfilis decides to TRY TO COLLIDE POPSTAR WITH THE FORGOTTEN LAND. What other way to lead to a great climax with you steering Kirby across crumbling roads and broken skyscrapers. When Elfilis tries to stop you, you dodge the attacks (the camera movement is also stellar) and then they throw the hugest boulder yet. You may think you’ve won when the boulder reaches Elfilis, but no-they retaliate with magic to stablize. Elfilin says “not today” and powers you up for one final push. And then you disintegrate Elfilis with the shockwave that results. Also amazing war cry by Kirby.

My switch was at 1% during the final forgotten land cutscene, the truck hit the floor, and I turned off the switch. Then I turned it on, the truck did it's rainbow thing and I was like:no. No way! No. Ok this is awesome. And then I ran over a god with a truck.

I think forgotten land might be my favourite finisher it's just so crazy and intense, the music is phenomenal it gets bonus points for using a truck and no joke since I'm kind of bad at button mashing I started screaming along side Kirby anime style to really pump myself up so I could finish off fecto elfelis
