They went from being weak enemies that posed almost no threat to the most dangerous and resistant enemies in the game lol

Those things are no ordinary "common enemy", I understimated them at first despite they looked tough and got knocked out. With the two Tunics I could safely stay close to hit them over and over.

Hey ZeldaCentral I got an idea for what next 100% Let's Play/Walkthrough you should do. Since you played through A Link to the Past, how about playthrough The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds? It's a sequel after A Link to the Past so I will be really excited if you do a playthrough on A Link Between Worlds because it's a good Zelda game to play on the Nintendo 3DS since 2013

I seriously like Link in his green tunic better. I am upset he didn’t wore it in Breath of the Wild especially when facing these Lynels.

You can acquire them through the Amibo system, but those are pretty expensive. The classic green tunics can also be found in TOTK.
