Evolution of Mario Power-Ups (1981 - 2025)

I wanted to stick to games that have power-ups in the traditional sense, i. e. platforming games. I threw in M&L: Partners in Time as a bonus, since it's the first appearance of the Ice Flower and I thought I might as well add the other three flowers from that game.

I noticed the Super Mario World footage can be a bit off-balanced in terms of audio. In some parts, the audio is a bit lower-pitched like with Cape Mario and the Bonus Room section. But in others, like Mario riding Lakitu's cloud and Yoshi stomping the ground with a Yellow Shell in his mouth, the audio is suddenly sounding normal. What gives?

Very impressive. The clips that you described are indeed different. The ones with the weird pitch are old recordings that I still had. I always balance the audio of every clip in a video but I guess I made a mistake this time.
