If you're going to include the non-sim games like Mechcommander and Mech Assault then you might as well include all the games in the Battletech franchise at that point. The franchise is called Battletech, Mechwarrior is the name of a few games in the franchise.

@@smokeymoe842 Mechwarrior is just the name of a pilot on the BattleTech Universe... all those game were created by different companies.. They just happen to have Mechwarrior in the name instead of Battletech.

When you include games like "MechWarrior 3050" you have to get both "BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk" into the list. "MechCommander: Desperate Measures" is just a DLC to "MechCommander 1" and then there is of cause "MechCommander 2" Aaaaand "HBS Battletech"....

What, don't you fit two gauss rifles and two ppc's into your Phoenix Hawks? I mean, the 45 ton mech surely can fit, uh, 42 tons of weapons (without ammo for the gauss rifles) somehow into its frame. ;)

Hell yeah. We had some in circulation in my area for a while. They popped up in a Lazer tag place until they closed down, then we're part of this big family entertainment place... until it also closed down. Now, I have no idea where they are. Good memories

Nice compilation that should the evolution of the graphic engines and controls very well. I played all the MechWarrior PC titles and still own almost all of them. At times, I forget just how crude the graphics were on the earlier games when I look back through my nostalgia powered, rose colored glasses. Thanks for putting this together.

Man, i still cant believe how high the fidelity was for Mech Commander. The jump between MW2Mercs and MCGold was insane. Hell, MCGold still holds up to this day.

MechWarrior is awesome! Been playing MW since MW2 back in the 90s. Fell in love with it. A few years back, I binged on MW, and played and beat several games in a row. MW3, Pirates Moon, MW4, Black Knight, and Battletech. Still need to beat MW4 Mercs! Uhh, this list is missing Battletech! That game is awesome!

Yes it began as Battletech years ago and even before the first video game it was a board game and later came Miniatures then the video games up until the day and as others have said so much is missing from a full video about the game

Get it right. That was MW2: Mercs Titanium Edition which was trash because we couldnt mod it with NAIS...but that's not the main reason for this call out... How you skipped MW2 Dos escapes me entirely. It's the only old school MW title that really matters, first to matchmake on Kali and Microsoft Zone. Maps. Mods. Grand Council.

The first game was more of an RPG than anything else. You sold your mech travelled round and only had to fight a few battles and that could be won in the shadow hawk. You just ran at enemies turned round and hit them in the back,.
