I know BKN&B gets a bad rep, but honestly, I think that's only because most people went into it with the mindset that it's going to play like a traditional BK game. Go and play it from beginning to end. It's a genuinely fun game that is basically one giant playground for experimenting with the vehicle building system. No, it's not 'Banjo-Threeie' but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They tried something new and it actually ended up being one of the most unique 3D platformers I've ever played.

There actually IS an origin on the Mumbo side of things. Quite a hilarious one at that. Basically, Aku Aku's words a little incoherent and to me, it sounds kind of close to an "Oogabooga" but not quite. As for Mumbo, as confirmed by Grant Kirkhope (Composer for the Banjo-Kazooie series, as well as the voice of Mumbo), has said himself the origin of the Mumbo "Oominaka" phrase. His exact quote is “Knackers… in the U.K., is slang for balls. At the time… my left testicle was swollen up. So I had to go to the fuckin’ doctors to see about it. It’s a bit of a long story.” The rest of the story isn't important but yeah, essentially, they added the phrase as a sort of inside joke among the team He is saying "Ooo my knackers!" Which can translate to a more American sounding phrase: "Ow, my balls!" There's your fact for the day
