Well that's because mayor Rudy Gulliani cleaned that place up, got crime down to a record low, economy was booming, and hit shows like friends, Seinfeld and mtvs trl, really advertised it well and it all made new York the it place to live and be. But then democrats started getting elected and it's become the living hell it is today. Funny how tanking the economy and being soft on crime can make that happen. Who woulda thunk it.

I have a problem with this video. First of all, there's an entire state called New York. If you're just going to show New York City, you should have named it "Evolution of New York City". Second of all, you do realize Manhattan isn't the only part of New York City, right? There are literally 4 other boroughs of the city that you could have shown. Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island? Do those not ring a bell? P.S I can see that your video is definitely not lazy by any means, but these are just some things to consider. Maybe you could do one of every borough.
