The problem with the NFL's system is individual teams are not allowed to install their custom apps on the tablet. To this day, you see coaches with big play calling sheets that are double sides and color coded. They use a marker to note when and how many times they ran the play. It's so inefficient. It would be much better to have the playbook on the device and shortcuts to "what plays are best in this situation" as defined in advance by the coaching staff. Or, hey, their starting safety just got injured, what plays to we have to specifically target the weaknesses of this particular backup safety?
