It was 7 years since Orochimaru left Akatsuki at the end of first season, so he was 45-46 years old since Sannins are 55 years old in Shippuden

Actually it makes sense because Itachi was 4 years old during the 3rd war and was 13-14 when he joins the Akatsuki. So if Orochimaru was 18 during the war, he should be 28 during his era in the Akatsuki

So I'm not the only one here doing the math out loud and looking and the timeline here and saying: "wait, no that can't be right that doesn't add up"? Because if you remember that at the tine of his defection Orochimaru was pursued by the Anbu Black ops and Kakashi was among that group. Kakashi COULDN'T have been more than 16 because this was shortly after the Ninetails attack and Minato's death!! Orochimaru is at least 24 years older than Kakashi, at least by the time the chunin exams start. So for him to be that old here by the time of his defection isn't right. Same with his time in the Akatsuki. From what information i gathered he supposedly wasn't even there a handful of years before Itachi came to them. I'm thinking Kishimoto's timeline conundrum is fucking with the continuity again. Still getting to see Orochimaru throughout his life is still wonderful for more!! BB!!Orochi ride or die!!🤣✨💗

Seeing this evolution reminded me why I loved Naruto progression. It's where I first witnessed: 1. A side character can be awesome (Lee) 2. An ally can be a villain/traitor (Sasuke) 3. A villain can be an ally (Gaara) 4. A traitor can be redeemed (Sasuke) 5. A greater villain/traitor can be redeemed and be an ally (Orochimaru) So many plot twists. And sadly, Boruto as it goes right now won't be good as this.

Minato was hokage for 2 years or so, making him 29-30 at the end. How do I know? Read/Watch the Kakashi and Itachi filler episodes. Minato was described to be in his mid to late twenties
