What a powerhouse Dr. Hussain Nadeem. Listening to intellects like him makes me feel proud and sad at the same time. You surely know the reason. How ungrateful and careless we are towards assets like him. Moreover look at the number of views on this video, so underrated. Our priorities tell the story of our failures. I wish we produce more like him.

Af-Pak configuration conceived by the US is a consequence of historical territorial and religious turbulence between the two countries manifested in violence and terrorism In a way, it is a legacy of Anglo-Afghan wars. The framing is not entirely without foundation.

Host has very superfluous knowledge on the issues being discussed. Like seriously who told him US-PAK relations in the past were amazing? They were always like a marriage of convenience at best. Should have come prepared.

Dr Nadim wants Pakistan to be a World Guru ,like India under Modi is positioning herself tobe. A Politically and Morally super power with a strong Hard Power to back these ambitions, so that no rogue nation can discourage you from achieving these goals. After all, you all Pakistanis are nothing but children of Hindu Rishi-Munis. How can you have different Ultimate goals !

@@hke.4475 Shorts heights are not symbols of hunger. It is genetical . Chinese are of short heights. Japanese are of short heights. They are not known to be hungry countries. On the contrary Pakistanis and Afghans are not of short heights. Both are having basket case economies. They survive only on foreign aid.

Afghanistan is a failed state and Pakistan is a super power. Come one you are a failed state too. And not onky economy but at nation building too. Afghanistan also has same issues of nation building. India on the other hand has built their nation. Develop their identities and unite them despite them having 1000s of challenges also developed economy. So despite having 2 billion dollars economy they have half of the world poor but yet they are power nation and over come 70 percent of their challenges. Pakistan is a threat no more. China is also not a threat. They prod china to keep america interested enough yet india would never go out on war towards china.

I might be completely off on this, but, we, as a nation, haven't come to terms with how we have been affected by colonisation. We don't realise the post colonial symptoms we keep showing and instead of recognising the disease as the disease, we have turned into our identity. We are entrapped in many complexes and because of that we believe that our indigenous roots, identity are sub standard. This is also comes with the notion that our colonisers, the goras, are better civilised. Hence, we relate most gora things as positive things and non gora things as meager. So in comparison to our Hindu counterparts, when Pakistanis move over to foreign lands, we drop our distinct cultural features more readily than the Indians. To guise ourselves as something more civilised and modern. But maybe, I am generalising too much. Another thing that can be added on to this is that we prioritise our religious identity over our cultural identity. Which can be fine to some extent. But in our case, our culture is closely related to that of Hindustan's, so we try to completely erase it, we claim that Indian culture is not a part of us. We are rejecting a big a part of our identity in a vehement show of distinction. So when we completely reject our cultural roots, the next thing we have to offer is our religious identity and national identity. Our religious identity is very tightly linked to our national identity (Pakistan in the name of Islam), so evidently, we are putting forward only one thing to represent us, and that is Islam. A very crooked, misguided interpretation of Islam. Unfortunately, in the modern world, people have moved beyond religious conversations. They aren't interested in religious debates and identities anymore, but that's what we only have to offer. All of this and add to it the irrepressible hate we have for Americans, English, it has almost been impossible to create strong ties with them on public level. Americans find us miserable and dislike us for our obsession with religion. We hate them for being gora, and better and non Muslim. What needs to be done is that we have to accept ourselves, our distinctions and meet the people from foreign lands at the same level as them.

A very healthy conversation. Agree to all the thoughts presented, except for that coke studio thing. That shouldn't be the priority at all. We should be more focused towards our IT sector, AI, digital marketing, agriculture, education, ethics, textile producion etc etc rather the dance and singing. There are alot better things to sell to Europe and west other than fake showbiz .... I'm not saying music should be crunched completely, it can stay with its moderate essence, but without proper check and balances it eventually becomes vulgarity and difficult to control in society and that's what we have seen in our society now ... In our dramas a poor girl is always shown with a dupatta on her head, while a rich and educated girl is displayed on screen in sleeveless. End of the day that's not what our forefathers had dreamed of ... Thank you for this podcast
