For those who don’t know, the Nintendo PlayStation is essentially a prototype console meant to be a SNES + CD hybrid that was scrapped and later reworked into the PS1.

The concept of using CD-roms was still turned into a new device, just being owned solely by Philips rather than Sony and / or Nintendo. It was the Philips CD-i, which had 5 unique, Nintendo licensed and approved games. It was heavily criticized due to poor graphics and an influx of cheap, generic, and repetitive games (Mostly generic point and click games, porn games, and edutainment titles. It's quite weird that it had a lot of games that taught kids math and shit, but then *💥BOOM💥* TITTIES!)

Fun fact! The towers seen in the PS2 loading screen are unique to each users memory card(s), with the number of towers representing how many games you have existing save data for (just owning the game doesn't result in a new tower, you need to have played it and have save data for it stored on a memory card). The size of the tower corresponds to how much time has been spent in the respective game. If you keep track well enough, you could determine which game each tower belongs to, regardless of how many different towers there are.

@@Saxofome There are several reasons for this Here are reasons and fixes 1. The console has a modchip installed. May need to get a new PS2 entirely to fix. 2. Dead clock battery. Change the battery out. 3. You accidentally insert the wrong memory card. Make sure to mark which one has which saves if you have more than one. 4. You have the setting to skip the Sony logo intro enabled. Will need the FMCB Configuration app to fix this. 5. You are using a virtual memory card, not a physical one. It only works with physical memory cards. 6. Try formating the card. This is only a fix. 7. Outdated FMCB. App update is necessary. This only applies to extremely old app versions. Keep in mind these towers not appearing has no effect on the save data itself, and is just a simple gimmick. Unless the clock battery is dead, no real fix is necessary.

Saves aren't what make towers appear. I'm using OPL to play my games, with a virtual memory card, and all my saves are there, so my physical memory card is pretty free regarding space. Theoretically I should only have 6-7 towers since my slot 1 memory card only has 6-7 icons, but no, I have like 20 towers scattered all around the screen because of everything I've played so far. tl;dr: it's not the saves, it's the amount of games you played.
