By who? God damn i wish people would stop saying “underrated” and “under appreciated” about everything. Like dude, just because you dont personally know anyone whose raving about this engine doesnt make it under appreciated. Everyone i know who actually understands what a game engine is and who knows about the RE engine praises it almost unconditionally. Gaming journalism constantly praises it, youtuber game reviewers praise it constantly. Hahaha i mean seriously dude who are you talking about that doesnt “appreciate” the engine? Even people who dont know shit about that stuff praise the graphics of the newer games. That kinda counts as well.

is quite impressive how adaptive and scalable RE Engine is comparable to MT Framework(Capcom previous Engine) and theres a game missing in the list, Capcom confirmed that Ghost e Globlin Resurrection is also using RE Engine, they confirmed this back a few week ago.

Also re7 is well optimized! 30 gb pre dlc. Re2 was 22gb! Imo this is insane for the level of detail they put.

character design-wise, I feel like RE2 Remake, DMC5 and RE3 remake are peak RE Engine. Their characters feel real, although RE8 is more advanced, I can feel the 3D in their characters.

One thing I love about Resident Evil is that the team has always been in pursuit of better and higher visual fidelity than before, even since the first game with it's pre-rendered backgrounds and the gorgeous REmake. RE7 is immensely impressive in particular because of how efficient and optimized it is, I was able to play start to finish and the Chris Not a Hero DLC episode on my mid range $700 PC with no issues on medium settings, all at 60fps. While the modern REmakes aren't as well polished as either REmake 1 or RE7 and 8, they're still great showcases for the engine, especially REmake 2's opening with the trucker hitting the zombie. It's just unfortunate that Capcom doesn't know how to use denuvo anti-tamper in conjunction with this engine to make the games run well while also using a DRM program, unlike SEGA's shocking optimization of the same technology in their own releases, since Hedgehog Engine 2 is up there with RE Engine as gorgeous proprietary modern game engines.

And now it's used in Street Fighter 6, both Capcom Arcade Stadiums and Deadrising Deluxe Remaster! Pretty flexible engine even if it's originally intended for Resident Evil! I think Capcom's RE Engine and Sega/Sonic Team's Hedgehog Engine should be outsourced to devs beyond the companies who worked on them!

One of my favorites engines next so source engine. This one is has the most optimized games out there. starting from re7 to re8 and the remakes if re games and especially dmc5. Edit* I know re7 has the outdated version but still it's in re engine.

I played the first one and good God runs like shit even in good PC. I can easily run Re2 remake and dmc5 at max settings at 90 fps while dragon's dogma runs around 30 fps for just looking at some trees 💀

Turns out that recent R E Engine games may actually be damaging hardware. The new RE game has lighting anomalies and now some are reporting that SF6 is freezing up again and again on their PS5 units. Its a story that seems to be very quietly being squashed, but be on the look out. If your PS5 or other hardware starts acting up after playing one of these newer Capcom games, you might need to start talking with others. Right now however it seems certain PS5 hardware, with its multiple build versions of hardware despite using the same ugly plastic casing design, some just wont play the new PS5 version of SF6 properly. Sounds like a bunch of conspiracy nonsense, and someone's going to likely reply back saying such, but lets go ahead and see what happens, shall we? Get ready for more reports after SF6 releases of consoles not playing the game right, watch what happens.
