the melody of sf2 OST plays in my head every since hearing them as a kid. Ryu's, Ken's, Guile's the most then some of the rest. Yoko Shimomura is a true genius and a legend.

Two themes that are in this video count only as Ryu’s theme in the respective games SFA3 and SFIII (third Strike was the only one used here which was Kobu Castle). I think X-Men VS Street Fighter had a version of the SFII/SFA Ryu theme, SFIV, SSFIV, and USFIV had a total of like 3 or 4 variations on the theme (SSFIV can be heard in versus mode if you unlock and enable the rival music option, player 2 has to be the character you want to hear the theme of. For this video: Ryu, Akuma, Gouken, or Evil Ryu) Also HD Remix was skipped for some reason, and I was also surprised that the remix from Hyper Street Fighter II wasn’t present, same goes for the one from Smash Bros for 3DS and WiiU. That last one is probably my favorite version of the classic SFII theme. Edit: aside from those nitpicks I have, it is overall a good video.

I've been playing since the original SFII, but I just now noticed two things... 1) In the originals, the moon blows by at the same rate as the clouds. And even in "Ultra" Street Fighter II, the moon should be moving with the characters instead of always moving in exact concordance with the top of the castle in the background. 2) In Street Fighter Alpha, the "SONSON" mart is a play on the "Lawson" convenience store found in Japan. and is named after "SonSon" and "Sonson", who are anthropomorphic monkey characters found in Capcom games. These in turn, are based on "Sun Wukong" (in Chinese) from "Journey to the West". "Sun Wukong" is pronounced as "Son Gokuu" in Japanese, hence the names of the previously-mentioned characters as well as the name of the Dragon Ball character (and a lot of his early depiction, such as the staff he used, the cloud he flew on, and his monkey tail - which transformed him into a "Great" ape form).
