KOF 12-13 changed most of the girls' personal body characteristics, and that direction influenced 14-15 to change the bodies of the other girls. So for Mary it was her build in her old sprite, that was established since her debut in FF3. I get the feeling that the current devs are against that kind of build for her. Anyways the franchise lost a bit of those nuances in design.

How they act in King of Fighters is different. Since it doesn't follow the Fatal Fury story as strictly they hang out a lot more.
